About Ken Mattsson, MS, MCDP


Ken Mattsson, MS, MCDP is a Career & Professional Development Consultant with Resonare Consulting and has over 20 years experience working with individuals and groups on their professional development needs. His work focuses on helping individuals come to a place where their careers and their personal identity/values coincide, so that they are doing what makes their hearts sing. He works with people that normally have a difficulty with connecting their own wants/identity with a career path and specializes in working with 

  • the GLBT community
  • professionals in non-standard/creative fields, and
  • those making career transitions.

Ken has been through numerous career transitions himself, knows what his clients are going through, and can bring his experience in all areas of career transition, with extensive experience in individual career advising and workshop delivery.

In addition to his work with individuals, Ken has worked in numerous industries in the Boston area, including:


Ken holds an M.S. in Adult & Organizational Learning from Suffolk University, and a B.A. in Linguistics from Hamilton College, and holds the Master Career Development Professional (MCDP) certification from the National Career Development Association. He is currently serving on the Executive Board of the Association of Career Professionals - New England, and also participates in the Career Counselors Consortium of New England, National Career Development Association, and the Alumni Career Services Network .

Additionally, Ken is a USA Track & Field Certified Coach, and a performer and instructor as a Tenor Vocalist and Instrumentalist (hammered dulcimer, flute, whistles, and recorders.) He has also lived in both Europe and Asia, and speaks German, Chinese, and Swedish.
